Sarah Spicer - Apprentice
Sarah has been working at Woodwork as shop manager since 2018, but didn’t officially start her apprenticeship until June 2023. She’s always loved art, but never thought she’d start a career as a tattoo artist. After encouragement from her brother-in-law Kyle and the other artists at Woodwork, she decided to take the plunge and has been loving learning and using the knowledge she’s soaked up through years of working in a tattoo shop. She describes her style as a cutesy version of traditional, and loves making designs based on puns. Outside of tattooing, Sarah has lots of other creative hobbies including macrame, beading, printmaking, embroidery, and any other hands-on craft she decides to try, and she started The Grove, a storefront inside the shop to showcase the work of some local artists and makers in the area. She spends a lot of her downtime hanging out with friends or watching silly movies with her husband Lukas and cat Twig.
